Most often when we are children growing up, we can't wait to become an adult. We desire to be that mature age to do what we want, when we want to do it and with no arguments about it. Once that happens ... and we become that age we so wanted so bad ... everything begins to change. We are no longer allowed to depend on that woman we call mommy and we must fend for ourselves. We must face life head on... alone.
What did this mean? I had no clue. Little did I know that during our daily lives we will be faced with obstacles that no one can explain the reasoning. I spent hours counting days until I reached 18 years old. I spent days wondering where I would be in 10 years.
Working or maybe looking for employment is a struggle in itself. Having the education and the qualifications needed to fulfill the position of your dreams. Do people still contemplate on their dream job? And if you haven't completed your education, how far do you think you can go? An individual with no education means you cant find a good job or a career which means no money to pay the living expenses we would incur. The basic needs of life. Paying the bills, making sure you have some food to eat, transportation, cell phone bill, clothing and many more things that need to be paid come along with this "adult" thing.
What struggles do we face? Who teaches us on this road to survival? Wheres this manual on how to become an "adult" once we reach that age? Why wasn't I warned on how fast time would go?
Growing up means I will have to be on my own. Having a family and children and a house to call home.
Growing up means I have to be strong, standing on my own two feet despite anything that comes my way.
Growing up means I had to be me ... regardless of how I did it, there is no right way, it just happened naturally. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days, days turned into months... months turned into years and just like that... you have grown up. Time waits for no one.
There is no manual, there are no instructions. You just learn as time goes by. You learn that growing up isn't all its cracked up to be... its going to happen, it can't be avoided, its just one of those things that happen in this thing called "life".
LIVING THE CRAZY LIFE IN THE BRONX
Both good and bad, the life we live is crazy ... but its worth it

Oreo Cookie is 100 years old!
The doorbell rang, I wasn't expecting anyone but when I looked thru the peephole to see who it was, it was United Parcel Service or better known as UPS with a delivery for me, so I signed for this box....I GOT A PACKAGE!
I didn't have any idea and thought someone was playing a joke on me until I opened the box... I screamed from excitement...I'm a Grand Prize winner! That's what the note said... I believe it was a prize I had gotten after entering many contests either on Facebook or several blogs I follow since I started saving with coupons. I don't know where I entered but I do believe this was the site. This is my entry where I entered a picture of my tattoo. My tattoo happens to be unique and an original...
It is a bitten Oreo Cookie made by Nabisco on my ankle. The same time we got the tattoo happened to be around the same time as the Oreos 100th birthday. Pretty cool right? I think so.
The Oreo cookie, although I agree with the world because it is also my favorite cookie is delicious but that wasn't the purpose of my tattoo. The tattoo symbolizes friendship. This is a picture of our tattoo... and a picture of us... also known as the Oreo crew and this represents us, our friendship and our love for each other... FOR LIFE!

This great tasting concentrated stock was made with carefully selected ingredients, simmered to perfection — perfect for broth and soups; rice, mashed potatoes and pasta; roast chicken; and sauces and gravies. Find it in the broth aisle!

With this product I made homemade chicken soup and cut up boneless chicken breasts in little strips in a spanish style sauce that your whole family would love.
I am going to tell you how to make this delicious recipe I made using the Knorr Homestyle Stock, I'm sure everyone knows how to make soup. This quick dinner made with chicken breast topped over white rice will have your family including your kids craving for seconds. This meal takes about 20 minutes.
1lb or more of boneless chicken breast
Sofrito (spanish mix of onions, garlic, peppers)
Sazon packets
Adobo
Knorr Homestyle Stock tub - Chicken flavor
1 Teaspoon oil
1 cup water
Cut the chicken breast into pieces of your liking. I cut them small to cook faster. Season with Adobo Seasoning Salt, found in your Goya section in the supermarket.
In pan, put oil, 2 teaspoons of Sofrito, and 1 packet of Sazon (if more than 1 lb chicken use 2 packets). The ingredients will start to sizzle when hot then you toss in the seasoned chicken. After 5 minutes the chicken is simmering and should be boiling. Put the tub of the Knorr Homestyle stock, 1 cup of water and put a top on the pan, this makes a sauce.
Lower the heat, stir in approximately 5 minutes and continue to let simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve it over rice.
Try it and let me know what you think! ENJOY =]
