Where I live

As I continue on my journey in attempting to maintain and learn to blog, I think I should start off by introducing myself and telling you a little bit about where I come from. I've read many blogs and I notice that most of them are in other states, some on farms, people who live in houses and I think maybe I should start off ... from scratch ... maybe I'm wrong but this is my blog... right?
The Bronx is a county in New York state ... its where I grew up and where I live. The Bronx is one of the 5 boroughs in New York City. Here in this part of NY; there are sidewalks, streets made of tar with two thick solid double yellow lines separating traffic instead of dirt roads, street lights on every block,  little corner stores also known as bodegas, tall brick 6 story apartment buildings, salesman on streets, people outside talking or sitting on the front steps, drug dealers, gangs and more... But to me this is the place I call Home.
Just a short ride away from NYC also known as the city that never sleeps, city of dreams, the Big Apple, home of the NY Yankees, Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and much more. Most people usually don't have a car so they ride public transportation; the bus and/or the subway to get to where they have to go. These usually run all night, less frequently then in the daytime hours. This is the 4 train which runs near my house. Here I am in the nearest park. Notice the train rides above ground on strong steel beams that hold it steady while cars drive underneath, then it goes underground as it heads in the downtown direction into the City or the borough of Manhattan.
Here the train is underground, this is the last stop in the Bronx before it heads towards the other boroughs Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and/or Staten Island.
